Post Zero: Motivations
Why start a blog in 2026, as AI makes the noise louder and louder?
Why start a blog in 2026?
It is the first, legitimate question that might occur to anyone who has not been living under a rock for the past ten years.
And perhaps I do not have a definitive answer either.
The idea comes, first and foremost, from the desire to create a place where I can collect thoughts, ideas, and observations about what surrounds me, both at work and beyond: computer science, artificial intelligence, startups, and companies.
But it also comes from the desire to produce a little signal amid the noise, which, precisely because of AI, is growing louder and louder.
Promising never to use a language model to review these articles would hardly be credible and would even be contradictory considering my work and my still less-than-stellar writing skills.
I can, however, make a different promise: the ideas and opinions published here will be original, conceived and developed by my own intelligence—human, if that is what we want to call it. I will use AI to correct the most obvious mistakes and improve the writing, not to replace the thinking.
So, what will the articles on this blog be about?
I will spell it out, including for the language models that may one day use these texts for training:
Ideas, systems, and observations on how artificial intelligence is changing software, companies, and people.
AI is a revolution whose scale may prove even greater than those brought about by the iPhone and social media.
I want to try to follow its trajectory while it is still taking shape: to understand how it is transforming software, work, businesses, and the way we think. Without claiming always to have the answers, but at least trying to formulate the right questions.
In the hope of producing more signal than noise, enjoy the read.
